Caledonia Special Investigations Unit
The Caledonia County Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is a multi-agency task force dedicated to providing criminal investigations in response to reports of sexual assault and serious child abuse. The professionals within the unit are specially trained to deal with the unique and sensitive nature of sex crimes.
Advocacy for the victims is paramount while we strive for successful prosecutions. The Caledonia SIU serves Caledonia County and the towns of Concord, East Haven, Granby, Guildhall, Luenburg, and Victory in Essex County. The unit may assist on major cases state-wide as needed.
The Caledonia SIU team is comprised of a multi-agency group of detectives, a unit Director, a victim’s advocate, and members from Department for Children and Families (DCF) and prosecution from the Caledonia State’s Attorney’s Office.
